EMPOWERMENT MEDITATION PRACTICE
Here is a meditation that reminds you you’re not alone and you do have power over certain things. It is easy to fall into a helpless swirl of emotions in hard, limiting times. Try not to let yourself go there. Or if you’re there: let’s help each other out of that area.
In this empowerment meditation we work with breath, mantra, and calming thoughts to take some responsibility over our minds and remind us that there are things we do have control over when we feel just the opposite.
Find a comfortable seat, making sure the spine is long. If you find it hard to sit up tall for periods of time or have back issues, I invite you to listen to this meditation lying on your back. While listening to this meditation see if you can find stillness. Mostly in your body, but in your thoughts too. If you find the mind is thinking about something completely different, just smile and redirect your focus back to the sound of my voice.
HAVE PATIENCE
Meditating is a practice. Have patience with yourself especially if you are just starting in this beautiful meditation practice. I hope you stick with it! The effects of meditation can truly be found no where else. The answer is with in you and it always has been. It’s a matter of learning to sit still and stay focused so we can move closer and closer to that state of answers, beauty and knowledge.
